52 km;s advanced, (triprecord) foggy and sunny, 6-25°C, hardly any winds, we´re camping at N 62°32´09.1 E 152°17´40.6
The amount of gnats waiting for us at this wet overnight campsite is hard to explain, but it was like a cloud of no-see-ums! They´re still bothering us inside the tent, but we know they´ll leave as quick as it gets pitch dark. Patience again!
Morning fog has arrived with the autumn and it makes paddling impossible until after 11 a.m. Today we´ve paddled aggressively for 6 hours to be able to add 50 km;s behind us. We than have 1 and half day to reach the civilization in Seimchan. We want to arrive there midday to give us time to find a good place to pitch our cot. Which we came across today when we passed a mining industry and then the little settlement of Ust Srednekan. We will have civilization like this until Seimchan, than a month of totally unknown wilderness!
