Titti Strandberg

Occupation: Explorer and lecturer. I work as a kindergarden teacher for twenty years.
Family: Husband Mikael, my two kids, Kalle, 24 years of age, and Christin, 28, my grandchild John and wilddog Sigge and the cat Måns.
Living in: Sörberget, Särna, Sweden. Born in Dala-Floda.
Interests: My children, my grandchild Jon, sewing, our home and house, the development in the society, equality and spending a lot of time in the great outdoors.
Last book I´ve read: A swedish book about women living in the bush far from civilisation.
Last film seen: A swedish documentary called Snön är alltid vit på landsort. A film by Pia Johansson.
Music: Swedish entertainer Peter Carlsson and his band Blå Grodorna, Soledad from Argentina and much more.
Motivation: The curiosity to explore and to see how the women in other cultures and countrie think and how they see life.
Main responsabilities during the Expedition: Pretty much everything which concerns an Expedition. Everything from the planning of the route to where to put up camp. But my main responsability is the keeping a down-to-earth eye on the Expedition, maintenence for the equipment and I will see to that everything is running and working smoothly. And I will document the women we meet along our route.
Odd speciality that could turn out to be a great help during the Expedition: I´ve spend 40 years as a “normal” human being and I think that will make things easier when meeting normal folks along the Kolyma. |

Titti prefers the great outdoor life...

....though she likes spending the rest of the time indoors, studying or taking care of the family.
